Feishtinger Hanging Calendar

Feishtinger Calendar

Rare oak hanging double dial clock by Charles W. Feishtinger, circa 1894. According to reference books Charles patented the design and Waterbury Clock Company manufactured the clocks for him.

The painted dial is signed Waterbury Clock Co. The top dial is time. Bottom dial has day of month, month, day of week, and a small selector for leap year. Spring driven 8-day time and strike movement. The pendulum can be accessed through a small hinged panel between the upper and lower dials.

The clock is running so I decided not to take the dials off.

I didn't measure it myself, but the Tran Du Ly book says the clock is 34 inches high and the dials are 9".

An internet search found only one of this model sold at auction.
