Eli Terry Regulator

Height 41", rosewood, ca. 1830-1848.
At first glance this looks like a Silas Terry clock, but it appears to be an earlier Eli Terry clock. Nearly everything on this clock is hand-made and original to this clock.
The reverse painted glass has a gold gilded regulator pattern. Painted dial is unsigned. Hands and door hooks are hand-cut and hammered. Large simple pendulum on a wood stick. Board behind pendulum has a large black manufacturers label, but unfortunately the printing is no longer legible. The eight day movement keeps great time. And even the weight appears to be correct for this clock.
